After 16 states ratified the 122nd constitutional amendment, Goods and Services Tax (GST), President Pranab Mukherjee yesterday signed the bill into law. Now, the GST council will be set up which will comprise of state finance ministers and the Union finance minister. This body will finalise the design of GST and various rates.
