ACB booked Delhi Women Commission’s chief

Causing another major embarrassment to the ruling AAP leadership in national capital New Delhi, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) was booked Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) chief Swati Maliwal for nepotism in hiring of 91 contract employees, mostly AAP supporters, in the commission.

However, she denied any wrongdoing even as the Delhi BJP met Lieutenant Governor Najeeb Jung and sought her removal from the post. The registration of an FIR by the ACB against Swati came a day after she was questioned for over two hours in connection with the charges made by former DCW chief and Congress leader Barkha Singh.
